Course Title: Global Doctorate in Business Administration
Fees for Services: £4000 per 13-week module (10 weeks of teaching and 3 weeks assessment)
Starting Date: 13th February 2023
Location: Remote
Role Overview
CEG Digital wishes to engage the services of an Online Tutor for the taught phase of their Professional Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) run in partnership with the University of Portsmouth.
Online Tutors play a central role in the day-to-day success and vibrancy of the university’s online courses and are a consistent presence in the modules to which they are assigned and are usually the first point of contact for academic queries from students. Each Online Tutor will have a group of up to 30 students.
This is a flexible, part-time role and it is estimated that during a typical week, each student group may need approximately 15 hours of online tutoring, although flexibility is required in order to accommodate busy periods such as assessment. Note that there will be key dates and contact points you will be required to adhere to which are driven by assessment dates in the course calendar. Full details will be provided prior to the start of the module.
The Course
Our DBA is the flagship programme in the Faculty of Business and Law, delivered part-time over 4-5 (maximum 5.3) years. It is designed for private and public sector management professionals – typically at a senior or executive level – who want to advance their careers through a doctoral degree, while continuing their career. The research focus of the DBA addresses real business issues, with the results providing professional outcomes that are of direct relevance to a student’s organisation. There are three intakes per year in September, January and May/June.
More information on the course can be found on the University of Portsmouth website.
The Module
Students will start the programme with a Professional Review and Development Module (30 credits). This introductory module enables students to conduct a critical self-evaluation and identify their personal learning requirements in relation to the doctoral programme of study.
Future Modules
Expressions of interest are also welcome from applicants with expertise relevant to future modules of the course, with contracted start dates in May and September 2023: Module 2 – Advance Research Techniques and Module 3 – Publication and Dissemination.
