Role Overview
CEG Digital wishes to engage the services of an Online Tutor, experienced in delivering research skills, for their Research Project module on the MSc International Business and Management course run in partnership with UCLan Online.
Online Tutors play a central role in the day-to-day success and vibrancy of the university’s online courses and are a consistent presence in the modules to which they are assigned and are usually the first point of contact for academic queries from students.
This is a flexible, part-time role and it is estimated that during the module, each student group may need approximately fifty-six hours of online tutoring, although flexibility is required in order to accommodate busy periods such as assessment. Note that there will be key dates and contact points you will be required to adhere to which are driven by assessment dates in the course calendar. Full details will be provided prior to the start of the module.
The Course
This exciting MSc course has been developed to equip students with an integrated and critical understanding of management and organisations in a global context. The course content includes the exploration of leadership, change management and enterprise in both the internal and external contexts in which they operate. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge and understanding of business and management to complex issues in a global context.
The Module
The aim of the module is to equip students to become skilled and critical researchers in business and management disciplines by undertaking an academic or practice-oriented research project. It provides students with the knowledge and understanding to plan and undertake an independent research project. The module also aims to equip students to understand the impact of business and management research on practice, people, organisations or policy, and their own practice.
